Porsche Carrera Cup Italia season continues! The honourable and respected Monza is in the past, and Imola is waiting for us, one of the most beloved tracks for both of our drivers!

Lap length: 4.909 km

Best lap time: 1:20.411 (Michael Schumacher, Ferrari, 2004)

Last year we watched the races in Imola two times during the season: the track hosted Porsche Carrera Cup France first and the Italian Cup later. Côme Ledogar put a weighty brick into the foundation of his future champion's title having started from the pole, won one of the race and got the silver medal in the second one.

C. Ledogar: "Every lap in Imola is a victory, it's very difficult to come to the end of this dangerous track... dangerous, but very impressive."

Oleksandr Gaidai opened the prize champagne on the Division B podium twice a French round, and finished on the fifth place of the absolute classification in the Italian race despite the gearbox's caprices.

The last Italian round, apart from collisions on the track, was marked by the significant number of cut-offs preferable by Enrico Fulgenzi, the champion of 2013 season. Last year the series organizers did the Italian driver a favour having turned a blind eye to the numerous cut-offs. We are curious to know how the refereeing will be this season.

And we'll know it very soon. The racing weekend traditionally starts on Friday with two free practice sessions at 9:45 a.m. and 2:55 p.m.

Already on Saturday, at 8:30 a.m., Porsche Carrera Cup Italia drivers will appear on the track in the first qualification, and top-8 will continue to divide the places on the starting grid at 9:00 a.m.

The first race of the second PCCI round starts on Saturday, June 27, at 4:30 p.m. (Rome time). The start of the second race of Sunday is scheduled for 12:10 p. m.

We invite you to follow the live broadcasting on carreracupitalia.it, website and, as usual, we will publish the news from the track and drivers' interviews on our Facebook page.
