Spa is a special race both in Italian and in French Porsche Carrera Cups. Let's study out what's the difference between the upcoming racing weekend and all the previous ones.

So, the competitors of the two series – PCCI and PCCF – start in the Spa race. Besides, guests from other Porsche Cups can also participate.

The PCCF drivers don't get points for the start in Spa, but those who miss the Belgian race will be rigorously punished: they won't get any more points in the season at all.

The PCCI competitors have the possibility not to come to Spa, but it significantly reduces their chances to succeed in the season: every driver gets 20 points just for the start in this race (to be precise – for the one lap fixed in timing, and it doesn't mean in the race, a qualification or a free practice is enough).

The weekend has the schedule as follows. There are two series of free practices on Thursday, 30 minutes each, at 10:00 a.m. and at 2:45 p.m.

The qualification is scheduled for Friday, 11:30 a.m. It lasts 30 minutes for all the competitors and 20 more – for the 20 fastest drivers.

45-minute race starts on Saturday, July 25, at 12:55 .m. Note that there is only one race this weekend. But it will be long and crowded (with vehicles). And it will be a rolling start! The first turn is supposed to be very live...

The crews have to use new sets of tires for the qualification. And the second new set has to be used for the start of the race. Only the number of slicks is limited. And the number of rain tires applied is unlimited. By the way, the forecast promises rain on Friday, but the clear sky in the day of the race.

There is only one little hitch: coincidence of calendars. The Spa race takes place the same day as the Porsche Supercup race in Budapest. And Côme Ledogar cannot divide himself in two small Ledogars to participate in both races. That's why Côme will start in Spa's free practices in the morning of Thursday to pass the timed lap and add 20 qualification points to the table of results and rapidly fly towards Hungary. Yes, he loses the chance to get 15 more points for the victory, two – for pole position and one – for the best lap in the race. But what can we do if he cannot enter the xerographic printing machine?!..
