The final crowns the all, as our ancestors said. Of course, they meant the final of the Porsche Carrera Cup Italy final and the laureate wreath that is really obtained by the newly-minted champions in Italy every year.

The second half of the racing season passed by so outrageously fast that we even had not an opportunity to enjoy it properly! It was the summer Mugello a moment ago, ambiguous and unpredictable, and now it is October already and it can be noticed even in Tuscany: the forecast promises shower rains during the free practices, qualifications and two of the three weekend races.

Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello
Designed: 1973
Opened: 1974
Lap length: 5.245 km
Direction: clockwise
Turns: 15
Best lap time: 1:34.316 (Gary Hauser, Dallara Renault, 2014)

Numbers in brief (honestly, in brief!). There are only two aspirants left for the title in the individual classification – Côme Ledogar and Alessio Rovera. Côme leads with a serious breakaway, but for the moment this is all we can tell: the Italian series can be even more unpredictable than we would want, and you can consider us superstitious, mamma mia! Mikael Grenier on the fifth position can compete for the fourth one with Enrico Fulgenzi, and Oleksandr Gaidai is still the seventh, between Daniele Di Amato and Simone Iaquinta, so we will have a very exciting competition here.

Our final weekend will start on Friday at 9 AM with the first free practice (please pay attention: we indicated the local time everywhere!). Another free practice starts at 11:35 AM. The qualifications take place on Friday at 2:45 PM and at 3:15 PM.

Not only two races are scheduled for Saturday – at 10:55 AM and at 5:00 PM – but also the celebration of the end of the season, before this very end, surprisingly. It is before the third race which is the longest, the most difficult, that brings the most qualification points.

On Sunday, after the drivers recall (by themselves or with the help of eyewitnesses) the most spectacular details of the Saturday party, they will start the 45-minute race at 12:50 PM. It will finish the Porsche Carrera Cup Italy 2016 season.

Let us not make premature plans, just cross your fingers and cheer for us. We will tell everything on our Facebook page, and you can, as always, watch the live of the races on carreracupitalia.it.

Follow our news! And... All hail the final!
