The unique Imola is ready to welcome the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia participants at the long-expected first round of the racing season!

The idea of creation of the racing circuit in Imola belongs to the group of enthusiastic bikers. Ferraris were ones of the first cars to be tested on the new circuit.

In 1980 Imola was the host of Formula 1 round for the first time. In 1981 the Grand Prix of Italy returned to Monza, but Imola circuit was so interesting that the organizers declared the Grand Prix of San Marino in Imola without a moment's hesitation.

So Imola became the home circuit of Tsunami RT Centro Porsche Padova. At that moment nobody knew that, but it was the beginning.

Opened: 1953
Last rebuild: 1994
Lap length: 4.909 km
Direction: anti-clockwise
Turns: 17
Best lap time: 1:20.411 (Michael Schumacher, Ferrari, 2004)

We brought two golden cups from Imola last year having left Alessio Rovera on the second place. So, the Alessio's task for this time will be to gain a victory, as a part of Tsunami RT this time. Right?

Alessio Rovera: "For sure to win! We did a very good job in pre-season testing so we are ready for it. My goal for the first event is to be at the top of the championship together with the team!
I like Imola a lot because it is a very funny track, with tricky corners. It is difficult to pass there so qualifying become very important. The driver has to be precise to complete the lap to the perfection, it's really easy to make a mistake".

Of course, there will be two more cars in Tsunami RT Centro Porsche Padova colors, driven by the two brothers, Carlo and Lino Curti.

Lino Curti: "Imola is surely the most hard and complete racing track in Italy and I love it. I hope to make my race, have fun and understand the car as much as possible. Finish in top-10 will be perfect for me!"

Carlo Curti: "Imola is my favourite Italian circuit, very technical but always challenging. It's very important to make less mistakes possible. And I want to enter top-10 too!"

Meanwhile, we offer our fans to recollect in memory the PCCI rules of the current season, because it will be more interesting to watch the race.
