Having left the Porsche Carrera Cup France participants discouraged by weather troubles, cancellation of the second race and explicit lack of qualification points, Ledenon went down to the history of PCCF-2015 and gave way to the Le Mans Bugatti circuit.
Bugatti circuit is situated on the Circuit de la Sarthe autodrome where the famous Le Mans 24 Hour takes place. It consists of the part of the big track and the separate specially constructed piece. 24-hour race also takes place there, but for the motorcycles. One day, almost 40 years ago, the French round of Formula 1 GP also took place on the Bugatti track.
The complicated circuit, to be honest. Firstly, there are high spots when breaking in some turns here, but they are felt only when the track is wet. Secondly, the last year PCCF-2014 opening race here left an aftertaste on the 30-second penalization of Oleksandr Gaidai for touching of the plastic fencing columns. However, we'll focus on positive things: the Tsunami RT pilot demonstrated the perfect start and the beautiful breakthrough to the 6th position in the absolute classification here. It means that there is something to start with for the next round.
Moreover, the adrenaline and passion to win of Ledenon are still here: slowly boiling and bubbling in pilots. Waiting for the proper time.
By the way, let's talk about the time. The first day of May will be marked by the two series of free practices – at 9:40 a.m. and 1:25 p.m. (Paris time).
And there is an early wakeup for Saturday: the qualification before the first round of the race starts at 8:40 a.m. The 35-minute race starts after the rest hour, at 3:20 p.m.
There is no chance for a long sleep even on Sunday: Cup Porsches will be the first to enter the track for qualification at 8:10 a.m. The second, 25-minute race of the weekend starts at 2.05 p.m.
