It is said that rules are made to be broken. And plans are to change them as you wish. No dogmas, no taboos! And if an unexpected turn appears in a steady team route within the test sessions on the French tracks, it can absolutely lead this team... for example, to Italy. And don't let it leave the track within, let's say, 12 hours...

No, we are not making boast of it: we really planned to dedicate March to the practices in France. But if GDL team turns to you unexpectedly with a proposal to participate in the marathon 12-hour race in Mugello, tell the truth – will you reject? We also could not resist.

So, the scene of action is Mugello, the dates are March 13-14, 73 vehicles casting, including 16 Porsche. The second stage of the international 24H SERIES, where the two Italian pilots – Massimo Vignali and Roberto Fecchio – and Oleksandr Gaidai will be driving the vehicle with the starting number 87.

Gaidai isn't a fresher in endurance races, but, having won the Carrera Cup classification in the race of Rome 6 Hour 2012 together with Rino Mastronardi, he preferred the Porsche Cup for two years. The performance in Mugello is expected to be uncommonly nostalgic: it's pleasant to recollect the marathon races in company with GDL team with which we have long-term partnership, and with our old vehicle... Yes, that very Porsche Cup that granted us so many various emotions within the last season. Now it's equipped, according to the series' technical requirements, with the anti-lock braking system and is ready for new achievements.

O. Gaidai: "It won't be the race as I used to understand it. Of course, we'll set maximum tasks, but for me, what is more, it will be the practice before the season of 2015. There are two races in Mugello in the PCCI calendar, and the number of driving hours has to be proportional to the number of races. We demonstrated the outstanding results in rainy conditions last year in Mugello, but I'd like to practice more on the dry track. And the racing regime will be ideal for this: it becomes dirty in some turns during the race, and the trajectory should be corrected immediately. I hope to demonstrate good pace that will lead to the good results of the team."

Italian stage organizers decided not to tire the participants particularly and divided 12 hours into two unequal parts. So, after the 4-hour round on Friday (from 2.30 p.m.) the racers will have the well-deserved rest till Saturday morning. And in the morning, from 9.30 a.m., they are expected to participate in the 8-hour driving day on maximum speed, at maximum concentration and maximum commitment to win.
